These principles guide scoping and deliverables. The institution’s contractual, legal, accessibility and security requirements remain the applicable authority.
Privacy and data
Minimise data at scoping. Identifiable student data is not required by default. Sensitive assets stay out of the portfolio, unapproved tools and demonstration environments.
Use of AI
Any AI use follows client policy, remains traceable and receives human review. Quantitative content, attribution, rights or assessment decisions are never accepted solely from a model output.
Intellectual property and attribution
The inventory distinguishes client sources, engagement-created work, software and third-party assets. Rights, credits, licences and reuse restrictions are recorded before publication or handover.
No lock-in
Scope names the editable sources, open or common formats, dependencies and maintenance notes delivered to the institution. Any unavoidable dependency is disclosed before approval.
In an engagement
These principles become review criteria.
